TESTIMONIALS

Stories written by the land,
and the people who tend it.

Every farm comes with different challenges, conditions, and goals. These experiences reflect how thoughtful planning, practical execution, and long-term ecological thinking translate into real transformations on the ground.

Shortening Years of Trial & Error

Even with knowledge of permaculture, designing and implementing the farm on my own would have taken years of trial and error. I approached Ficus Panda to shorten that process through their practical expertise and on-ground experience.

Since then, the farm has become far more structured, productive, and easier to manage—with clearer systems and smoother execution at every stage. The biggest difference has been having confidence and direction instead of figuring everything out alone.

For anyone starting this journey, the right guidance can save years of mistakes and uncertainty. I would absolutely recommend Ficus Panda for that process.

Execution Made the Difference

Our biggest challenge wasn't the design—it was bringing that design to life. We already had a permaculture master plan on paper, but we lacked the experience and guidance needed to execute it. That's where Ficus Panda made the difference.

Amol and Prathamesh brought practical, on-ground expertise to the project. We trusted them completely, giving them the freedom to adapt the design wherever necessary based on the site's soil, topography, weather, and other real-world conditions. Every decision was explained clearly, helping us understand not just what was being done, but why it mattered and how it would benefit the farm in the long run.

Today, the transformation is remarkable. The farm is almost unrecognisable from where it was in 2019. We now have productive raised-bed vegetable gardens, a fully functional drip irrigation system, organised zone-based farm management, and an abundance of fruiting trees.

If you're just starting your journey, my advice is simple: trust the process. Ficus Panda brings the experience and practical understanding needed to turn a design into a thriving farm. When they recommend something, trust their judgement—you'll see your land transform over time.

A Vision That Keeps Growing

With just one acre of land, I wanted to create a permaculture farm that brought together multiple elements of sustainable farming. My biggest challenge was finding someone who could develop a thoughtful master plan that could be executed in phases. Ficus Panda understood my vision in depth and created a comprehensive design that continues to guide every decision on my farm. Their combination of design expertise and practical execution made the entire journey seamless.

Today, my farm has a completely different character from the surrounding land. It's noticeably cooler, filled with thriving trees, and has become a peaceful space that even the local villagers enjoy spending time in. If you're planning a regenerative farm, be patient and think long term—the rewards are truly worth it. Ficus Panda gave me a vision that continues to grow with every season.

Building Without External Dependency

When we started developing Aranya at Grape County, our biggest challenge was restoring barren, hilly land without relying on external inputs. We didn't want to buy water, soil, or manure, nor disturb the land through conventional tilling. Ficus Panda gave us a clear vision, practical solutions, and flawless execution rooted in permaculture principles.

Their design focused on conserving soil and water using the site's natural resources. Today, we need significantly less water, no external manure, minimal maintenance, and we're harvesting healthy fruits and vegetables while creating a thriving ecosystem for birds, insects, wildlife, and people alike. I strongly recommend anyone planning an agrifarm or regenerative landscape to choose permaculture—and for that, Ficus Panda is the one-stop solution.

Support Beyond the Design

Working with Ficus Panda has been a wonderful experience. We had the vision of creating a food forest at The Farmstead, but we weren’t sure how to approach it in the right way. Their guidance helped us understand the process and build a strong foundation for something that will continue to grow for years to come.

One thing I truly appreciate is that the support didn’t end with the consultation. Amol and Prathamesh have always been approachable whenever we’ve had questions or needed advice. Their willingness to help and share their knowledge has made this journey much easier for us.

If you’re thinking of starting a food forest, I’d definitely recommend Ficus Panda. They genuinely care about the work they do, and that reflects in the guidance and support they provide.

From Uncertainty to Confident Decisions

Although I have been involved in farming for many years, much of my learning has come through self-study, observation, and trial and error. A System Built for the Hills

Before partnering with Ficus Panda, our biggest challenge was designing a functional system for our kitchen beds and small islands that could withstand the unique, heavy monsoon climate of the Trimbakeshwar hills. They beautifully structured our land, creating resilient, well-draining brick beds that are now perfectly primed and ready for our seasonal vegetable cultivation. For anyone looking to start their own sustainable agroforestry journey, I cannot recommend Ficus Panda highly enough—their practical expertise and deep understanding of the local landscape completely set them apart.

Designing a Living Learning Space

Ficus Panda has a very important role in Anandmala’s Children learning initiative “Vanashala”! To start with , while designing the permaculture food forest project for children we had several meetings and discussions on understanding the Purpose, Reqirement, Constraint , financials and scope of work.  Also the handholding on every step was really helpful to understand the science and practical approach in farming.  The journey of this one of its kind foodforest specifically designed for children to ignite their passion towards nature was very interesting.  Till date thousands of children have visited this Permaculture food forest to witness the wonders of natural farming in a interesting way.  Thank you Prathamesh and Ficus Panda team for this wonderful  co learning experience.
